In Italy, La Vendemmia is the celebration of the grape harvest, and all the bounties the earth gives us in the Autumn. In this our 15th year we have changed up La Vendemmia GrapeFest, distilling it down to one day, and providing lots of family-friendly things to do and see. We hope you can help us celebrate the harvest here on Preston Street, on Saturday, September 22nd, between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.
STOMP STATIONS
Have you ever wanted to try grape stomping the old fashioned way? Then pull off your socks n’ shoes and stop by the Stomping Stations at The Prescott Tavern , The Heart & Crown, Paesani’s and the Sala San Marco! You will have the chance to plunge your bare feet into the stomp box and learn the tricks to getting the most juice out of those wine grapes!

Junkyard Symphony strives to promote environmental health and awarenessthrough educational and extraordinary entertainment by reusing old ordinary objects that would otherwise be sadly destined for the junkyard. But to Junkyard Symphony, however, these objects are terrific treasures that can be reused for an even greater purpose…. creating lots of big smiles. In the show, the performers are the conductors while the audience is the symphony so be prepared for a radical ride of rapid rhythms, awesome antics, clownish comedy, terrific tricks, magnificent magic, tons of talent, and plenty of participation!

Alien Invasion Laser Tag. Grab your laser gun and enter into the massive 30′inflatable UFO maze. As you navigate through the dark, foggy corridors, you will encounter hostile alien life forms to shoot. Computerized laser taggers keep real-time score.
Roller Coaster Obstacle Course Thrill seekers will love this inflatable roller coaster obstacle course as they scream through tubes, obstacles, pop ups and two giant 16′ slides. Fun and challenging for kids, teens and adults.
Wizard’s Castle This medieval combo has 4 activities in one: jumping, sliding, climbing and bouncy basketball. The Dungeon is a bouncing area. An inflatable ladder leads to the 2nd level. The giant slide has a steep 50 degree angle that even 12 year-olds will love!

WINE MAKING AND COOPERAGE
Traditional Wine Making Demonstrations Stop by the Adult High School Parking Lot for demonstrations of wine making, made the traditional way.
Modern Wine Methods: Come around to the parking lot to take a tour of Preston Hardware’s busy wine-making shop, and see the complete wine-making craft.
Cooperage: Wine Barrel making demos: An Essex County Cooper will be on hand to teach you how to make and maintain wine barrels combining modern science with the ancient craft of cooperage.

Little Italy Farmers Market Preston Street at Louisa It is harvest season and our farmers stalls will be brimming with fresh foods! The community breakfast will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 11:00 a.m. Over twenty stalls from which to buy local produce will be installed. The Firemen’s Band will be performing and there will be Antique Fire Trucks for viewing with photo opportunities. Come and see the equipment with which our brave firefighters worked.

Cha Cha, Waltz, Fox Trot, Rumba, Swing, Salsa and so many more.
